MUMBAI | 2024

A Mumbai-based house of brands returned this Diwali with a brief that balanced continuity with festive creativity. The goal was to design a bespoke gift hamper rooted in a consistent graphic-led language, while capturing the joy and richness of the season.

We responded with an illustrated bird's-eye view of a city mid-celebration—homes glowing with light, temples bustling, rangoli patterns adorning doorsteps, and firecrackers brightening the night sky. Gold foiling over the illustrated sky added a layer of shimmer and festivity, while vibrant colours kept the visual tone uplifting and accessible across all age groups.

Inside the box, the unwrapping became part of the joy. Six handcrafted chocolates were individually packaged in uniquely illustrated mini-boxes, each a tiny celebration in itself. At the heart of the hamper was a custom set of playing cards designed for shared family moments. Each card included a thought-provoking question about the Ramayana, turning a game into a space for fun learning and meaningful conversation—deepening the cultural value of the gift while keeping it light and inclusive.

The hamper was designed to outlast the festivities—both in purpose and in form. All packaging was created using recycled paperboard with digital print and gold foil accents, while the chocolate boxes used recyclable art paper that balanced elegance with eco-consciousness. By combining storytelling, utility, and sustainability, the hamper became more than just a seasonal gesture. It offered a moment of pause, play, and connection—celebrating Diwali in a way that felt lasting and thoughtfully made.
