Flying Flea, a brand known for its commitment to luxury and forward-thinking design, envisioned its new electric bike not just as a product but as a statement in slow, indulgent urban commuting.
The brief called for an experience that went beyond display—a space that allowed visitors to interact, linger, and engage with the brand on a deeper level. At the heart of this idea was a bespoke café, imagined not only as a place for coffee but as a sensorial anchor that brought together design, conversation, and community under one roof.

Inspired by lifestyle cafés, art galleries, and the ethos of slow design, the Flying Flea launch café balanced rugged urban textures with refined details to create an immersive brand experience. Visitors entered through a photogenic installation before exploring curated display zones for the bikes and two collaborating designers. Warm, thoughtfully styled corners invited people to pause, connect with the Flying Flea team, and soak in the relaxed, indulgent spirit behind the new electric bike. Sustainability anchored the entire approach—cement blocks formed the primary structures, avoiding the waste of temporary MDF and lending a raw, texture softened by lush natural plants woven throughout.

The venue that made this atmosphere possible was Sabha—a beautifully restored 160-year-old building in the heart of Bangalore. Its layered history and tactile materials shaped the entire palette: cement, wood, metal, and greenery blended seamlessly with the venue's architecture. Locally sourced, reusable cement blocks reflected conscious building choices, while warm wooden furniture and handcrafted tableware echoed Sabha's rich detailing. Every element felt integrated rather than temporary, creating a setting where old and new existed in quiet dialogue.
In the end, the Flying Flea café installation was more than a backdrop for a launch. It was a living, tactile environment where design, sustainability, and brand ethos coexisted—offering visitors not just a glimpse of an electric bike, but a taste of the thoughtful world that brought it to life.
